Simple, practical privacy notice.
LAInshore.com is a static editorial site. We do not have reader accounts, checkout, memberships, comment profiles, or a newsletter signup. The site does use Google Analytics, loads Google AdSense advertising technology, and stores a reader's light-or-dark theme preference in the browser. This notice explains those tools and what happens when readers contact us or follow external links.

No reader accounts or checkout. Limited measurement and advertising tools.
- Contact by EmailIf you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, including your address, message, attachments, and any context needed to respond or verify a lead.
- Email ContactReader messages, tips, corrections, and publication inquiries currently go through direct email rather than a newsletter or account system.
- Analytics and AdvertisingGoogle Analytics helps measure site use, and Google AdSense advertising technology is loaded on site pages. Google may process browser, device, interaction, cookie, or similar identifier information under its own policies.
- Theme PreferenceThe dark-mode control stores the value "light" or "dark" in browser-local storage under the key "lainshore-theme." It is used only to remember the reader's display preference.
- External LinksSponsored SELA links and other outside links leave LAInshore.com and follow those sites' policies.
- Story SubmissionsTips, corrections, right-of-reply messages, event details, and review inquiries may be kept as part of our editorial records.
- Photos and AttachmentsOnly send images, flyers, screenshots, or documents you have the right to share, and tell us if anything should be treated carefully.
- Future UpdatesNew forms, accounts, embedded tools, newsletter systems, or materially different data uses will be documented here before they are introduced.
Reader Control
Keep private information out of public tips when possible.
- Do not send sensitive personal details unless needed.For most leads, names, dates, documents, photos, and a way to verify are more useful than private data.
- Ask before something is published anonymously.We may use background information to verify a story, but publication decisions need clear context.
- Request removal or correction.Email e.smith@bluecollarmarine.com if you believe personal information was published incorrectly or unnecessarily.
- Control browser data.Readers can clear local storage or cookies through browser settings. Browser privacy controls and advertising settings may also limit how third-party services store or use information.
